Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said national security should no longer be seen only as protecting the country’s borders, but must also begin from every home and family.
He said threats today are more complex and can affect people at the household level, including through digital risks, social problems and challenges faced by families. Because of this, parents, children and communities all have an important role in building a safer nation.
Anwar stressed that strong family values, awareness and responsibility are important foundations for national resilience. He said protecting the country is not only the duty of security forces, but also a shared responsibility among all Malaysians.
