SERDANG: The Malaysia Agriculture, Horticulture and Agrotourism Exhibition (MAHA 2026) recorded an impressive 1.8 million visitors during its first three days, with sales reaching nearly RM6 million.
Agriculture and Food Security Minister Datuk Seri Mohamad Sabu said around 184,000 vehicles were recorded entering and leaving the exhibition grounds during the same period. The large turnout resulted in heavy traffic around the venue.
MAHA 2026 is targeting at least RM58 million in total sales throughout the event. Mohamad said purchases of various agricultural products, including plant seeds, are expected to contribute towards achieving the target.
Organisers have also increased transportation services to accommodate the growing number of visitors, while improvements are being made based on current needs and public feedback. The exhibition runs from August 28 to September 6 at MAEPS, Serdang, featuring around 2,000 exhibitors and targeting more than four million visitors overall.
