TEMERLOH: Police have identified the four people killed in a major accident involving 11 vehicles at Kilometre 110.3 of the East Coast Expressway (LPT1), eastbound, near Lanchang, Temerloh. The crash occurred at about 9pm on Monday.
Three of the victims were members of the same family travelling in a Proton S70. They were identified as Muhammad Nazatul Nazmi, 32, his wife Nur Atiqah Sofiya Mohd Kazwan, 32, and their four-year-old son.
The fourth victim was Seow Beng Wain, 55, who was a passenger in a Honda CR-V. Several other people were also injured in the collision and received medical treatment.
Authorities are continuing investigations to determine the circumstances surrounding the multi-vehicle crash. Motorists have also been reminded to remain cautious and maintain safe driving practices, particularly when travelling on highways.
