Actress Tisha Shamsir pleaded not guilty at the Kuala Lumpur Magistrate’s Court to a charge of administering three types of drugs to herself.
Tisha, whose real name is Shanorbiah Shamsir Alam, was accused of taking methamphetamine, amphetamine and ketamine after a urine test was conducted at the Dang Wangi district police headquarters on 7 July.
The charge was made under Section 15(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952, which carries a maximum fine of RM5,000, imprisonment of up to two years, and supervision for two to three years if convicted.
The court allowed her bail of RM1,000 with one surety and fixed 8 October for the next case mention. The actress was previously reported to have been detained during an operation at an entertainment outlet in Kuala Lumpur.
