MELAKA, July 26 — The number of flood evacuees in Melaka has increased to 124 people from 37 families as continuous heavy rain affected several areas across the state.
According to the Melaka Disaster Management Committee Secretariat, all affected residents have been relocated to temporary relief centres (PPS), where they are receiving assistance from the relevant authorities.
Officials are continuing to monitor the situation closely as weather conditions remain uncertain. Residents in flood-prone areas have been advised to stay alert, follow instructions from the authorities, and be prepared to evacuate if necessary.
State agencies, together with emergency responders, remain on standby to ensure the safety and welfare of those affected while monitoring water levels and the latest weather developments.
