Manchester United has officially confirmed the proposed location of its new 100,000-seat stadium, marking another major step in the club’s long-term redevelopment plans. The new venue will be built around 350 metres northwest of the current Old Trafford site as part of a wider Stadium District project.
The stadium is expected to become the largest football venue in the United Kingdom and will serve as the centrepiece of a major regeneration project aimed at transforming the Trafford area. The development will also include new homes, improved transport links, and commercial spaces, creating a modern destination for sports, business, and entertainment.
Manchester United said the project is designed to preserve the club’s rich heritage while providing a world-class matchday experience for supporters. The final stadium design will continue to be refined through consultations with fans and local stakeholders, while the future of the existing Old Trafford stadium remains under discussion.
