SEREMBAN – More than 22,000 members of the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) and the Malaysian Armed Forces (ATM), along with their spouses, will take part in early voting for the 16th Negeri Sembilan State Election on 28 July.
Negeri Sembilan Police Chief Datuk Alzafny Ahmad said a total of 22,339 eligible early voters are involved, comprising 5,455 PDRM officers and personnel as well as 16,884 ATM personnel and their spouses.
To ensure the early voting process runs smoothly, 1,796 police officers and personnel will be deployed across all voting zones. Police will also assign 2,393 personnel on nomination day, 1,685 officers throughout the campaign period, and 4,788 personnel on polling day.
Alzafny reminded all candidates, political parties and supporters to conduct their campaigns responsibly by avoiding provocation, hate speech, fake news and issues involving religion, race and the monarchy (3R). He also urged everyone to respect the election results and use legal channels to resolve any disputes.
Authorities hope these measures will help ensure the Negeri Sembilan state election is conducted peacefully, safely and in an orderly manner.
