KUALA LUMPUR: PLUS Malaysia Berhad expects traffic on its highways to reach 2.2 million vehicles per day during peak travel periods from 28 to 31 August and 4 to 7 September 2026, in conjunction with the National Day celebrations and school holidays.
Motorists are advised to plan their journeys early by referring to the MyPLUS-TTA digital travel schedule through the PLUS App. The app also provides real-time traffic updates, emergency assistance, incident information, toll estimates, R&R locations and EV charging station information.
To manage the expected increase in traffic, PLUS will deploy additional personnel at toll plazas and R&R areas, strengthen PLUSRonda patrols and continuously monitor highway conditions. Smart Lanes will also be activated at 33 selected locations to improve traffic flow in areas prone to congestion.
PLUS will work closely with PDRM, JPJ, the Malaysian Highway Authority (LLM) and other relevant agencies to respond quickly to highway incidents. Motorists are also reminded to ensure their vehicles are roadworthy and that their Touch ‘n Go cards or e-wallets have sufficient balance before travelling.
