The Raja Muda of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail, has reminded athletes competing in the Malaysia Games (SUKMA) to always place safety and well-being at the forefront while striving for sporting excellence.
Speaking during a programme with the Perlis contingent, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin encouraged the athletes to remain disciplined, maintain high standards of sportsmanship, and use SUKMA as a stepping stone towards competing at the regional and international levels.
He emphasised that success in sports should not come at the expense of an athlete’s health or safety, urging competitors to follow the guidance of coaches and officials throughout the tournament.
The Raja Muda also expressed hope that Perlis athletes would continue to improve their performances, bring pride to the state, and seize opportunities to represent Malaysia on the international stage in the future.
