The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has arrested five more officers from the Immigration Department (JIM) under Ops Crack, as investigations continue into an alleged syndicate linked to the hacking of the Malaysian Immigration System (MyIMMS).
The latest arrests are part of an ongoing probe into claims that Immigration officers conspired with a criminal network to manipulate the MyIMMS system, allowing immigration processes to be abused for illegal purposes. The investigation focuses on possible corruption, abuse of power, and unauthorised access to the department’s digital infrastructure.
According to the authorities, the newly arrested officers are expected to assist investigators in uncovering the full extent of the operation, including identifying other individuals who may have been involved. The investigation remains active, with MACC working closely with relevant agencies to gather evidence and determine how the alleged syndicate operated.
The case is part of Malaysia’s broader efforts to strengthen integrity within enforcement agencies and safeguard national border security. Officials have stressed that no individual will be protected if found to have violated the law, and appropriate legal action will be taken once investigations are completed.
