SEREMBAN – The nomination process for the 16th Negeri Sembilan State Election (PRN) was carried out smoothly across all nomination centres, with supporters displaying exemplary discipline throughout the proceedings.
Negeri Sembilan Police Chief Datuk Alzafny Ahmad said no untoward incidents or public order issues were reported during the nomination period. He praised political parties and their supporters for cooperating with the authorities and following the rules set by the Election Commission and the police.
According to Alzafny, supporters gathered peacefully, complied with security instructions and dispersed in an orderly manner after the nomination process concluded.
Police deployed personnel at all nomination centres to ensure public safety, manage traffic and maintain order. Security operations will continue throughout the 14-day campaign period leading up to polling day.
Alzafny also reminded candidates, political parties and supporters to maintain the same level of discipline during the campaign by avoiding actions that could provoke tension, spread false information or incite racial and religious sensitivities, ensuring the election process remains peaceful and orderly.
